沖縄から「ゆいま～る」の精神を全世界へ

A symposium on disaster mitigation sponsored by the Open University, Okinawa support center was held on May 3, at the P's Square.

The world was impressed by the concept of "Mottainai" introduced by Japan to the United Nations. Following this, we would like to deliver "the spirit of YUI-MAARU" from Okinawa to the United Nations and the world for the formation of a strong and resilient society against natural disasters and poverty.

放送大学沖縄学習センター主催のシンポジウムが開催されました。

地域の自治会や自主防災組織、学校、教育関係者多数が参加されて、フロアから多数の質問や提言が出されました。大幅に時間を経過するほどに、議論が白熱したことは非常に喜ばしいことです。

日本における「もったいない」が、国連にまでも届き、世界の人々に感動をもたらせました。これにならい、災害に強く粘り強い社会の形成や貧困からの脱却社会の形成のために、沖縄から「ゆいま～の精神」を、国連に、そして世界に届けたい。

放送大学の役割がこういうところにもあるという、新しい情報を得た喜びや放送大学の質の高さ、卒業生や修了生の各方面での活躍に触れ、驚きの声も聞こえました。
